Aanin, Robyn nindizhinikaaz! I'm in my fourth year of Honours Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour. This will be my third year with IHM, where I’ve previously held the roles of Learning Circle Coordinator and Community Learning Coordinator. Being part of this club has been an incredible opportunity to reconnect with my culture and build a strong sense of community. This year, I’m excited to step into the role of Co-Chair and continue creating a supportive space for our general and executive members to learn and grow together.

Hi! I’m Georgia Campbell, a Level 4 student in Mechanical Engineering and Integrated Biomedical Engineering. I serve as the Internal Liaison for Indigenous Health Matters (IHM), connecting the executive team with general members, faculty and staff (including ISS and IHLL), and other Indigenous student groups across campus. My Métis heritage and upbringing in Northern Ontario have deeply influenced my passion for Indigenous health and wellbeing, which is why I’m proud to be part of IHM. This is my third year with the organization, previously serving as Speaker Coordinator and Co-Chair, and I’m continually inspired by the community we’re building. I’m especially excited to share the insightful, thoughtful conversations about Indigeneity that Indigenous students at McMaster are leading.

Hi! My name is Dilakshi and I am in my 5th year of the Biochemistry Co-op program with a minor in Indigenous studies. This is my 3rd year with the team and I am working as a speaker coordinator. I reach out to potential speakers with research background, life experience, and healers to come and talk to students at McMaster. I am fortunate to take courses at McMaster about Indigenous worldviews, research, knowledge, and culture. I hope for more students to educate themselves and have the opportunity to learn from Indigenous peoples. I am looking forward to our speaker series again this year! Working with IHM is wonderful, with a wholesome team that will work to support McMaster students.

I am so excited for my 3rd year with IHM (2nd year as an exec!) and to continue working with this incredible team. I have had the privilege of visiting local reserves and listening to the stories on what Indigenous health and wellbeing means to different communities. There is much to be learned from one another when we listen and I am so excited to be a part of this community dedicated to sharing and storytelling! I hope to help create a platform for Indigenous voices and to learn more about Indigenous health perspectives.

Hi! I'm Aryan, I'm a third-year Health Sciences student, and I’m the Social Media Coordinator this year. I have been a part of IHM since my first year because I wanted to contribute to the growth of knowledge and understanding within our community. It’s been an incredibly rewarding experience to be part of such an impactful team. I’m passionate about promoting education and awareness surrounding Indigenous health issues and hope to use our social media platforms to share meaningful and informative content. Hi! I’m Karina, and I’m in my fifth year of the Biology & Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour (BioPNB) program. This is my first year on the IHM team, and I’m honoured to be serving as one of the Graphics Coordinators. I joined IHM because I want to learn more about and advocate for equitable, culturally sensitive, and patient-centred healthcare for Indigenous people. I’m very grateful to be collaborating with Amee and the rest of the IHM team to design graphics that promote IHM events and initiatives, and deepen awareness of topics related to Indigenous health and well-being. I am looking forward to combining my passion for creating visually engaging, educational content with my commitment to learning from and centring Indigenous voices in conversations about the history and future of Indigenous health and medicine.

My name is Amee i'm currently studying biology here at McMaster. I've been apart of the Indigenous Health for a year and can't wait to do another! Being a graphic coordinator I play a role in the aesthetics and marketing of IHM and our events. I'm excited to attend the events we have planned and learn more about indigenous health. Especially since I have a passion for medicine and indigenous health unfortunately being such an underrepresented topic.

Hello, I’m Matthew Hammond, a fourth-year Honours Life Sciences student. This is my fourth year with IHM, and I will be serving as a Community Learning Coordinator. I’m passionate about creating spaces for Indigenous communities to share their voices and experiences while advocating for their needs. IHM provides the platform and guidance to build relationships and educate others on various Indigenous health topics. This year, I’m excited for our community learning events and all the stories shared that continue to inspire me. Being part of IHM has shaped my undergraduate experience and how I engage with, learn from, and support our community every day.

As a new representative, I’m super excited to connect with new people in different programs, as well as health professionals specializing in Indigenous health. Hi everyone! I'm Mariam and I’m in my third year of Health Sciences at McMaster! This year, I’m serving as one of the Community Learning Coordinators with IHM, helping to organize events that promote awareness around Indigenous health on campus. I’m honoured to be part of this work, raising awareness about health equity and learning from Indigenous communities about how the healthcare system can better serve their needs. I’m excited to collaborate with this amazing team, it's my first year as an executive, and I already feel inspired!
